El Caballo Peruano de PasoThe Peruvian horse has its origins over four centuries ago in South America. Horses brought to Peru by the conquerors and subsequent Spanish settlers were bred selectively to produce a horse with a natural four-beat footfall of medium speed that provides a ride of incomparable smoothness and harmony of movement. This distintive movement of the Peruvian Horse originated the dance of the Marinera, in which the dancers execute movements imitating the ones of the Peruvian Horse.
